Tulla welcomed Parteen/Meelick to Dr. Daly Park for the final group game of the U16 Championship last Tuesday evening. Parteen/Meelick started stronger with a goal in the first few minutes but Tulla responded well with a number of points in what was a physical first half. Half Time Score 0.10 to 1-02
With Tulla scoring 1-7 in the second half and Parteen Meelick scoring 1.6 it was a very tight second half but Tulla had a great team performance across the field and won the match by 6 points in the end 1.17 to 2.8
Tulla`s half back line were excellent, dominating the game and clearing many of Parteen/Meelick runs.
Jack Kirwan for Parteen/Meelick was exceptional for the opposition.
The second Half saw Tulla bring on substitutes at different stages and all having a good impact on the game - Briain Torpey, Tony Leydon, Fintan Caulfield, Jack McSweeney, David Cunningham
Tulla are now through to the semi-final stage of the championship and will meet Cratloe on 3rd September.
