Tulla Under 12 boys played two matches recently as part of their Davin league. The first was the rescheduled match against Crusheen/Tubber last Thursday evening. Conditions were cold, wet and windy and the home side proved far too strong for the Tulla boys in the first two twenty minutes of play. The final twenty minutes saw a much more even game. All 18 Tulla boys got plenty of time on the field with substitutes coming in and out all the time.
Sunday last saw Tulla make their way to Kilmaley to play again in cold and windy conditions. Like previous matches, both sides had large panels and it was decided to play 2 twenty minute, 11 a side ‘half’s’, with the final third twenty minutes being played with 13 a side to give the players the experience of playing in a game as part of a bigger team. Unfortunately, Kilmaley also proved to be a very strong, fast and skillful side dominating Tulla throughout despite some good play from Tulla players such as Liam Moroney, Finn Boyce and Ryan Hayes.
Tulla’s last match in their Davin League is against Corofin in Corofin on Friday evening next (7th July) at 6.30pm (please be at the field at 6.10pm) before a ‘finals’ match which will be played in Cusack Park (date/time TBC).
